Full Visual Identity

Inspired by Electromagnetic and Mechanical Waves

This work is entirely inspired by waves—electromagnetic and mechanical. In a meaningful, intentional play of the vibration of ether and matter, the work touches upon one of the greatest achievements of human civilization, which is the power of communication.

 

The emblem is designed with the idea of associating it with the period diagram of wave frequencies. The shape of the period is inspired by a speech bubble, a commonly used graphic tool in illustrations where text is inserted.

 

By multiplying itself, the speech bubble forms a wave that carries within it the combination of the letters A, M, and U. The logotype is designed to follow and complement the emblem, with a distinction between the primary logotype (with the abbreviation AMU) and the secondary, full version (with the agency’s full name). The dot at the end alludes to the acronym.

 

The color palette consists of primary and secondary colors, as well as tertiary tones for wide application. The typography has been carefully selected to bridge the golden age of scientific victories with modern ideals in contemporary design. It consists of three typographic font styles arranged hierarchically according to their usage.

 

This work celebrates the significance of audiovisual communication and media, especially in the 21st century.
